How to Use Polyacrylamide to Be Economical

Polyacrylamide is a kind of organic flocculant with the advantages of economy and simple use, but its disadvantages are large dosage, low flocculation effect, high cost and strong corrosiveness. So how to use it to achieve economic and effective?

Flocculant is undoubtedly the most critical factor in the whole process of wastewater treatment, and it also consumes relatively more products in wastewater treatment process. For different wastewater quality, including different industries, both organic wastewater and inorganic wastewater have their own specific polyacrylamide pharmaceutical model matching.

Before purchasing flocculants such as polyacrylamide, we should contact our manufacturer to carry out sampling and experimental analysis through our professional laboratory. We can adopt PAC+PAM scheme because suspended solids are generally negative.

Then we can do a test to determine PAC dosage in the laboratory, and determine the curve of PAC dosage and turbidity removal effect when PAC is used alone.

Then, the ratio of PAC to CPAM is determined by laboratory beaker experiment. If the PAC dosage is 1/3 of A value, we can deduce how much PAM is needed to bridge the coagulation effect of PAC. In addition, special attention is paid to the different types of polyacrylamide ions that we are facing. There are anions and cations. Of course, if the wastewater presents weak acidity, it is possible to choose non-ionic polyacrylamide and polyaluminium chloride to match.

Through this experiment, customers can determine the best proportion of PAC and PAM. After completing the experiment and choosing the ionicity of polyacrylamide, the best effect and the lowest cost of flocculant can be obtained for sewage treatment enterprises.
