Discussion on Whether Caked Polyacrylamide Can Continue to Be Used

        olyacrylamide plays an irreplaceable role in sewage treatment, petrochemical industry, papermaking, printing and dyeing industries, and often encounters some problems in use. The most common one is the problem of polyacrylamide caking. When customers encounter such problems, they will ask, can caked polyacrylamide still be used?

       Let's talk about the cause of polyacrylamide caking firstly before answering this question. polyacrylamide has a strong moisture absorption, and it is easy to absorb moisture in the air, so that the particles expand, stick together, and form a block.

        1. In the production process, it was packed immediately before it dry enough, so that the moisture is covered in the bag. After a long time, polyacrylamide absorbed water and the particles will stick together. (Usually the inner bag is in good condition and not damaged).

        2. In rainy season or when goods are stacked in damp places, when the inner bag is damaged and polyacrylamide absorbs moisture in the air, so that the particles expand, bond together, forming a block.

        3. When the goods are stacked too high and the goods squeeze each other for a long time, there is also the possibility of caking.

        4. The most common one is the inner bags are not tightly packed in time after use and there is large humidity in use site, or it has not been used for a long time after one use. Because of the strong moisture absorption of polyacrylamide, it was found that polyacrylamide had caked when used again.

       Polyacrylamide is usually dissolved into solution to use, so that the molecular chain of polyacrylamide can be fully extended, and can improve its utilization. The caked polyacrylamide will be difficult to dissolve, or only a small part of it will be dissolved, even if the dissolution conditions are changed. The insoluble polyacrylamide cannot work well and result in material waste. When insoluble bulk polyacrylamide enters the pipeline, it will cause blockage and affect production. It is also very difficult to dredge the blocked pipeline. So we suggest that you must buy qualified polyacrylamide and keep it properly.
